Installation JAVA-Player

Dear user,
our aim on dancing24.com is to be always up to date and to offer the best service which is currently available. Thus the contents as well as the quality of our video clips should be kept on the highest possible level.
Due to the fact that this work is continuously in progress, a few problems came up, e.g. it was not possible to watch some of the clips for some users, particulary in case of larger video clips which exceeded a certain amount of data.
After even Quicktime experts were not able to explain in a satisfactory way, why these problems came up immediately after installing a Quicktime update (which in our view is worth mentioning), we have now a player version which should solve these problems.

Here is a manual for installing
this special player version

Please follow the instructions explicity to make sure that the player is working
as it is supposed to (further down you will find instructions for more experienced users):

1. Uninstall your current Quicktime player

2. In case your computers requires a reboot, please reboot, if not continue with step 3

3. Download   JAVA  from the internet (for free) and install it

4. In case your computers requires a reboot, please reboot, if not continue with step 5

5. Download  QUICKTIME  from the internet (for free) and install it

6. In case your computers requires a reboot, please reboot. Now the new player should work on your computer.

Inside the movie frames on Dancing24.com
you will find this additional choice now: (Java Player).

Select LQ (low quality) or HQ (high quality)

In the window opening now select the Java player .

If your computer asks you, how to deal with the JNLP file, select " Open with Java Start Launcher "

If you have to trust an "certificate", say "yes".

Instructions for more experienced windows-users:

1. Download   JAVA   from the internet (for free) and install it

2. Unpack the QTJava.zip file from C:\Programme\QuickTime\QTSystem
and copy it into the folder C:\Programme\Java\jre1.6.0_01\lib\ext

Instead of  "jre1.6.0_01" you might find another JAVA version
(in this case the name of the folder might change slightly)
The different paths may differ, if the programs have installed somewhere else.
