Grand Final Latin American
It was a really great Grand Final, 107 couples were registered and after 6 rounds the final was presented by the MC and it were all German couples in this final, however there was a great international participation, but….on this day the German couples deserved it to be included in this Grand Final.
6th;
Marius Andrei Balan & Sarah Sophie Ritz Schwarz Weiss Club Pforzheim
For me personally this couple could have finished higher, as the boy is a great dancer and lets his partner do the right things in the Latin dances.
I am sure their time will come in the very near future and the DTV must be very pleased to have again some super talents in their ranks.
5th.
Nikita Bazev & Marta Arndt Schwarz Weiss Club Pforzheim
This couple proves again that as already so many years Pforzheim is the “Hochburg” for Latin American dancing.
They gave a very solid performance and the marks with the nr. 6 and 4 must have been all very close. Also this couple can have a great future and will be for sure a so called “Anschlusspaar”
4th.
Anton Skuratov & Alena Uehlin TC Seidenstadt Krefeld
I have seen this couple many times before and I must admit they have improved enormously.
There is much more connection in the couple and they have a super presentation and speed were it is needed. I was very much impressed by their interpretation of their Rumba.
3rd.
Gennady Bondarenko & Elena Zverevshikova TC Odeon Hannover
This couple is well known in the International dance scene and this time I must say that they did not attract me. For me the man is dancing to much on his own and is partnering to less.
He is dancing more for the audience than as a couple together with his lovely and well rehearsed girl.
If I should have made a choice than the nr.6 for me was a much more greater man as well as a couple more into the Latin dances than Gennady.
He must in my view work on his partnering as otherwise he will attacked seriously by the other mentioned couples in generally but by the nr. 6 and 5 in particular.
2cd.
Sergey & Viktoria Tatarenko Ahorn Club Berlin
A very well deserved 2cd.place. Wow what have they improved.
Last year in 2008 when I judged the Gerrman Latin Championships in Pforzheim they were my clear 3rd. already, but finished than 4th. Never mind I thought there time will come.
And there time have come now. In March they danced the World Trophy in the famous Steigenberger Kurhaus in Scheveningen, Holland and they were the crowds pleasers and they have so much to offer.
They are now Germany’s representatives to the World’s and European Championships and they will do a very good job for their country.
Also this 2cd place was very well deserved and we will hear a lot more from this very symphatatic young couple who work their way to the top in the very near future.
1st.
Timo Kulczak & Mothsegetsi Mabuse Schwarz Weiss Club Pforzheim
The reigning German Champions ! and they showed it. A very solid and experienced performance in all 5 dances.
I know them many, many years and have always admired their dancing and their way of working. Blackpool this year as well as the European Championships were up till now their highlights and I am very sure that this will be continued.
Also this couple is the crowds favourite and were they dance they have the audience with them.
The “Lady in red” did it again! a wonderful couple and a true Champion.
All in all it was a super final to watch and I was in one way very pleased to have the possibility to watch for pleasure and not to judge and to have an even more critical eye.
All finalist; well done you did a great comp !
